Remove the grill shell:
- Remove the two lower turn signal light panels, disconnect the bulbs
and set aside. Remove the corner light bulbs from their lense and set
aside- I tuck all of the bulbs back behind the grille for the time
being.
- Unbolt the bolts from the top edge of the grill and the one bolt
underneath the latch mechanism mid way down the grille.
- DO NOT DO WHAT I DID! I wrestled the 5 bolts I could find out of the
lower edge of the grill to find that all I had to do was press three
clips- one in the center and 2 towards the outer edge behind each turn
signal panel to remove the grill. No harm- no foul but I would have
saved myself a good bit of time doing it this way.

Loosen the AC cooler and latch support:
- Remove the 3 bolts from the latch support- 2 at the top, 1 at the
bottom.
- Remove the top 2 bolts from the factory transmission cooler.
- Remove the 2 bolts holding the AC cooler.
- Now everything can be carefully leaned forward to gain access to the
back of the AC cooler for mounting the Transmission cooler.

The arrows indicate where I removed screws to gain
access to the back of the AC Cooler. |

Mount the Auxiliary Cooler:
- As per B&M's instructions I kept the factory cooler and added
the B&M Stacked Plate cooler in line with it.
- Remove the outlet side of the factory cooler (be ready to catch some
fluid)
- Place the matching fitting into the outlet side of the factory
cooler. (now your ready for a new line)
- Place where you want to add the new B&M cooler... I did my close
to mirror the factory cooler location.
- Push the zip ties from the back of the AC cooler carefully through
to the front.
- Place the recommended pads to the back of the B&M cooler flange
and set in place on the zip ties.
- After your totally convinced you are sure that is where you want the
cooler- double check the clearance then zip tie the cooler in place.

time to clean out behind your AC cooler- You won't believe what you
may find.

Run the Cooler Lines:
- Remove the end from the factory metal line. Remove the C-Clip
holding the fitting in place and slide the fitting off.
- Run hose from the outlet on the factory cooler to the inlet on the
B&M cooler. (I used a PVC cutter- makes cutting rubber hose a
cinch) Don't forget to put the hose clamps on the line before putting
the other end on.
- Run hose from the outlet on the B&M to the hard-line back to the
transmission- you may have to work the hose on the hard-line since the
flair is so large. Again don't forget the hose clamps.
- After tightening the hose clamps snug. Replace and retighten the
bolts on AC cooler, the Hood latch support and the Factory
Transmission cooler.
- Start the engine- work the transmission through the gears some and
check your fluid level (leave it idling of course). Check for leaks
and take it for a test drive.
- There was a noticeable difference in temperature on my transmission gauge.

Time to clean up:
- Put everything back the way you took it apart.... easy as pie-
especially if you didn't wrestle those bottom screws off.
